No hospitals, pharmacies, medical facilities, or health-care professionals, or employees of hospitals, pharmacies, medical facilities, or health-care professionals, who object in writing, may be required to participate in or facilitate medical or surgical procedures that result in an abortion.   3. Ban on Abortion: 1997. Abortions are illegal at 12 weeks, unless it is to preserve the mother's health. Should someone seek an abortion after 12 weeks, they can be fined up to $25,000, imprisoned for 2 years, or both.
